The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reopened the “Leonardo Infante” Educational Complex in Petare, Bolivarian state of Miranda, thanks to the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles), to begin the 2024-2025 school year.
The National President, during the opening of the Technical School, was accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Hector Rodríguez, and the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez.
The Educational Complex has 1,375 students who will be taught by 97 specialized teachers at all levels of educational area (basic, technical and university). It has classrooms for workshops on electronics, electricity, land transportation and two universities (Misión Sucre and the National Experimental University of Teaching “Samuel Robinson”) and recreational spaces.
Héctor Rodríguez stated “that the first 15 days are for the training of the members in cultural and historical topics that will be given continuously to strengthen the education every day of the Genial Generation of the Venezuelan Power.”
For her part, Minister Gabriela Jiménez describes that this is a “space to learn to live together in a community and is part of comprehensive education for growth, with a sports field to exchange between young people.”
Maduro highlighted that recovering and transforming education are the two key words of this new school year; “recover the schools with the Bricomiles, recover the students, recover the student movement, recover the family.” Get it all back! And the task is to transform education, with an educational revolution, of quality, ethics and character, because it is important to assume the “horizon of the 21st century.”
