Some 200 volunteer employees of Banco Popular Dominicano, within the framework of World Tourism Day, participated in the third reforestation day of the year, planting more than 4,300 trees on land in the community of Bohío Viejo, Los Montones, San José de la Matas , Santiago province, in collaboration with Plan Sierra.
During the day, the volunteers from Banco Popular understood how reforestation favors ecotourism in La Sierra and the preservation of water for the national territory, thereby facilitating the increase in the tourist offer of the region, located on the northern slope of the mountain range. Central, and by extension strengthening the entire tourism model on which much of the country’s development is based.
