Take it into account! Banks will not open this October 1 due to Claudia Sheinbaum's protest

This Tuesday, October 1, Claudia Sheinbaum will take protest as the first female president of Mexico and in that context, the bank branches will not openbut don’t worry if you have to do any operations, since banking services will continue to operate through ATMs, banking correspondents, digital, electronic and telephone banking.

The Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM) reported that banking institutions will suspend their operations to the public this Tuesday, October 1.

However, banks that offer their services inside commercial stores and supermarkets will open to the public this day, in the traditional schedulesalthough it is a holiday.

“The ABM reminds banking customers that they have at their disposal more than 63,400 ATMs and 53,000 banking correspondents; as well as digital, electronic and telephone banking, which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” indicated in a statement.

What happens if my payment deadline is October 1st.

It is worth mentioning that the Law for the Transparency and Regulation of Financial Services establishes that, in the event that the deadline for a payment corresponds to a non-business day, the payment may be made on the following business day.
