As a precedent in the city of Huancayo, the Seventh Family Court, for the first time, decided to dictate protection measures against a case of alleged psychological-sexual violence through social networks against the student and model Camila Mosquera Vivanco (20 ).
The events would have arisen in the broadcast of two episodes of a show program broadcast on the Facebook platform where, according to Mosquera, the host of said program would have used degrading epithets that affected his image, his mental health and his tranquility.
The case reached the Superior Court of Justice, where through a hearing, it was decided to dictate protection measures to the complainant and these will remain in force until both parties comply with the evaluations and psychological counseling issued by Angela Baldeón Gamarra, judge in charge.
“This act was the subject of a complaint before the Family Court, who issued the first resolution of this nature issued against the invasion of the right to privacy through the social network Facebook in Huancayo,” said Percy Requena, Camila Mosquera’s lawyer.
PRECEDING. This type of resolution is the first issued in Huancayo and the second at the national level. The first case was registered in 2019 in the city of Lima, where the First Family Court ruled with the same protection measures for the complainant.
WILL APPEAL. Given what was stated, Correo sought the statement and defense of Luis Vilca, host of the program in question, who mentioned that he was also affected emotionally and professionally. “This is an attack on freedom of expression. They are forcing me to delete the programs and with that part of my journalistic work is lost. “I am not a violent person or a danger to society,” he said.
The host stated that, together with his defense, they are considering appealing the resolution issued at the hearing and until then the elimination of the programs broadcast on September 13 and 20 would not be carried out.
