The 28th edition of the Latin American International Tourism Fair (FIT), in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has Brazil as the honored country. The event started this Saturday (28th) and runs until next Tuesday (1st/10).Tourism fair in Argentina pays homage to Brazil

At the Brazilian stand, visitors will have the opportunity to get in touch with Brazil’s various experiences. There are 380 square meters (m²) and 36 exhibitors, which will showcase new destinations and experiences rich in nature, culture and gastronomy.

In partnership with Sebrae, Embratur wants to show Argentine tourism professionals and the population of the neighboring country the possibilities of promoting Brazilian destinations and the tourist opportunities of our states and municipalities and their tour operators.

For the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, the fair is an opportunity to present new destinations to Brazil’s largest tourist market.

“It is an honor to receive this honor that validates our strategy focused on showcasing the country’s diversity of attractions, but also an increasingly stable and promising internal environment.”

Sabino’s expectation is that Brazil will receive around 7 million tourists in 2024. “We have recorded positive numbers that will lead us to reach, this year, the historic mark of 7 million people coming from other countries to the various Brazilian destinations”, he said.

According to the Embratur Data Portal, Argentina is the country that sends the most tourists to Brazil. This year, around 1.1 million Argentines have already disembarked in various Brazilian destinations.

According to the president of Embratur, Marcelo Freixo, the tribute to Brazil at the fair highlights that strategies for promoting Brazilian destinations are on the right track.

“The constant presence of Argentines in Brazil and Brazilians in Argentina renews, every year, our bonds of brotherhood. No other people know our tourist destinations so well. We will show a Brazil beyond the obvious.”

Flights

Argentina currently has 12 airlines with direct flights to Brazil. The destinations are Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Bahia, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Ceará, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Norte.

“There are forecasts of 2.5 million vacancies by 2024, an increase of 22% compared to last year. Among the new features compared to last summer are the new flights from Buenos Aires to Porto Seguro and Curitiba; Córdoba towards Florianópolis and Salvador in Bahia; and Rosário towards Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro”, informed the ministry.
