Man murdered his rival and dragged the body on a bicycle

Agents of the Cicpc Punta de Mata (Monagas) arrested Carlos Jiménez (24), identified as the perpetrator of the homicide committed against Franklin José Jiménez Guillent (31), whose body was thrown into an oil well.

After the capture of the subject, the officials determined that Carlos Jiménez did not accept that Franklin Jiménez was the new partner of his former wife, says the Cicpc story posted on the Instagram account.

As a result, Carlos studied Franklin’s routine, which included passing by his grandparents’ house after finishing the work day.

Using this, on September 16, Carlos Jiménez waited for Franklin Jiménez to pass by the site, to subdue him, causing his death with a shotgun.

Subsequently, the murderer located a rope and dragged the victim’s body on a bicycle to an oil waste well located in the Altamira sector of the town of Aguasay (Monagas), where he finally threw it along with the bicycle and the murder weapon.

The perpetrator was arrested in the Las Garzas sector, Punta de Mata parish, Ezequiel Zamora municipality, Monagas state. When verified in the Police Investigation and Information System (Siipol), it was found that he had records for illicit trafficking of metals, precious stones and strategic materials.

Cicpc officials implemented special strategies to recover the body and the murder weapon from the well where they were found.

The detainee was handed over to the 25th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
