Five dead and one missing is the partial balance that the authorities made public after the sinking of a barge on Lake Maracaibo because of bad weather.
Edgar Urrieta, Juan Noroño, Wilfredo Camacaro, Manuel Sánchez and Onidenia Cárdenas, were identified by the authorities as those who died after the sinking of the barge Chantase G in Lake Maracaibo. A worker still needs to be located.
The incident shocked the Eastern Lake Coast oil community. The victims were on board the boat that was taking them to their work day, along with 19 other workers, when bad weather in the state of Zulia caused the accident, according to official reports.
