The Ministry of Industry and Commerce ordered increases of up to RD$7.90 in the prices of four fuels.
Starting this Saturday, September 28, avtur will be sold at 184.07 pesos per gallon, for an increase of 7.14 pesos.
Kerosene will cost 212.80 pesos per gallon and rises 7.90 pesos. Fuel oil #6 will be sold at 156.00 pesos per gallon, which represents an increase of 4.95 pesos and 1% fuel oil will cost 169.98 pesos per gallon, 3.24 pesos more than the previous price.
Price update
For the week of September 28 to October 4, 2024, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs provides that the fuels are sold at the following prices:
- Gasoline Premium will be sold at 290.10 pesos per gallon, it maintains its price.
- Gasoline Regular: 272.50 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Regular Diesel: 221.60 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Optimal Gasoil: 239.10 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG): 132.60 pesos, per gallon maintains its price.
- Natural Gas: 43.97 per cubic meter, maintains its price.
Subsidies
The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, announced that the government will maintain a subsidy to the fuels of more than 111 million pesos, focused mainly on LPG and regular dieselfrom September 28 to October 4, 2024.
The subsidy to LPG will be more than 10 pesos per gallon, while the regular diesel will receive more than four pesos per gallon, along with a smaller subsidy for the regular gasoline. These subsidies seek to support national production and the basic basket, according to Fermín.
“The subsidies that will be applied are the following: LPG at more than 10 pesos per gallon, while Regular Diesel will be subsidized with more than four pesos per gallon as well as to a lesser extent the gasoline Regulate,” explained the vice minister.
