The Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Franklin Molina, attended this Monday the Extraordinary Meeting of the Gas Exporters Forum (GECF, for its acronym in English) that was carried out in the city of Doha (Qatar).
Molina together with the interim president of YPFB, Armin Dorgathen, participated in the event in the prelude to the Sixth Summit of Heads of State and Government that takes place today.
According to a report from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, the authority exchanged points of view and discussed development issues, trends and recent policies related to the energy issuein addition to reaffirming support for the Gas Exporters Forum.
His presence in Doha allowed Minister Molina to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Russia’s Energy, Nikolai Shulginov, and from Algeria’s Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab.
Before the Extraordinary Meeting, the Bolivian authority together with the interim head of YPFB and the Vice Minister of Exploration and Exploitation, Raúl Maya, met with the Secretary General of the GECF, Mohamed Hamel, who thanked him for the presidency that he assumed in the 23rd . Ministerial Meeting on November 16, 2021, when Bolivia was the host.
The Gas Exporters Forum is made up of 11 member countries and seven observer countrieswhich represent 70% of proven natural gas reserves, 44% of commercialized production, 52% of pipelines built and 51% of LNG exports in the world.
