The forest fires that have been recorded in the last 30 days in Colombia have consumed 44,040 hectares of forests, pastures and crops, reported the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD).

At the moment, There are fires in 12 of the 33 areas of the country (including Bogotá)conflagrations that originate mainly from high temperatures and lack of rain.
This week, the last of September, The flames have reduced 7,239 hectares to ashes and, according to the UNGRD, there are four active fires in the department of Tolima.

Meanwhile, in Nariño and Valle del Cauca there are three in each; in it Huila and Cauca, one in each department.
Likewise, the UNGRD reported that The fires in three departments have already been controlled: in Cundinamarca, in Cauca (only one remains active) and in Boyacá.
Forest fires
The Government has five aircraft in operation that fight the fire that consumes not only vegetation, but also kills animals and affects crops.

To these devices are added almost 400 people on land, who belong to firefighters, forestry brigades, the Red Cross, the Civil Defense, the Police and the Army.
