Puno: Woman died after being shot by alleged foreigners

A 28-year-old woman died after being shot by alleged foreigners who were engaged in “drop-by-drop loans.”

This event occurred this Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of the Calixto Aréstegui and Prolongación Australia neighborhoods in the city of Juliaca.

After the alert from passers-by, the security guards of the municipality of San Román arrived at the scene and found the woman named Karen Vilca Quispe (28), who was lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The agents immediately transferred to the emergency service of the Carlos Monge Medrano hospital in Juliaca. The doctors, at night, reported that the victim did not resist, as he ceased to exist in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The security guards, at the scene of the shooting, observed a firearm projectile, the evidence of which was collected by the experts. The authorities are taking steps to clarify this fact that caused consternation among the population of Juliaca.
