14 Blue-bearded macaws repatriated from the United States to protect them in Beni

14 Blue-throated Parakeets, an endangered species, They were brought back to Bolivia from the United States and transferred to the Wildlife Custody Center in Sachojere, Beni. These birds were found in homes and parks in the United States.

Upon arrival, the macaws received veterinary care and were taken to the conservation center with the support of BoA and the Loros Bolivia Foundation. The Blue-throated macaw, known for its blue neck and orange body, is an endangered species with Only 500 copies in the country.

Previously, 13 other birds had already been brought in on two occasions. The aim is for these macaws to form part of a conservation plan that includes their care in captivity to ensure their survival.
