The bodies of two soldiers who had been reported missing since Sunday, September 15, were found this Monday under the Los Chigüires canal bridge, in the Barra Vieja sector, Guasdualito (Apure), according to police sources.
The deceased are identified as Lisbeida Karina Zapata Segovia (35) and Melvin José Díaz Rodríguez (24), who held the rank of lieutenants in the Bolivarian Army.
Passersby saw the decomposing bodies and alerted the police authorities. Cicpc agents removed the bodies and began investigations in conjunction with the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim).
