The Avanza País (AvP) party asked President Dina Boluarte to convene a National Agreement to address the issue of clean elections in 2026 without government interference.

The political group, after indicating that the only agenda will be “clean and transparent elections 2026 without interference from the
government,” he said that his request is based on the proximity of the Minister of Housing, Durich Francisco Whittembury
Talledo with his brother, Nicanor Boluarte, who heads a political organization in the process of registering.
“This relationship could compromise the transparency of the 2026 general elections, given the enormous budget managed by this sector and its connection to local authorities,” the statement said.
“The situation is further aggravated,” the letter adds, “by the information revealed in the media about the possible influence that your brother might exert over the prefects and sub-prefects at the national level.”
According to Avanza País, it is crucial to highlight the recent corruption complaint against Durich, “who is being investigated for collusion and for allegedly favoring Odebrecht in contracts related to drinking water and sanitation works.”
“The Judiciary has accepted a request for provisional civil reparations for US$ 42 million in a process that involves him, along with his links to former President Pedro Castillo and the criminal organization known as ‘Los Chotanos’,” says another part of the text.
“We demand the immediate convening of the National Agreement with the proposed agenda, to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process and restore citizen confidence in our institutions,” AvP concludes.
