Spanish National Police arrest Panamanian gang leader wanted for homicide in Panama

Spanish National Police officers have arrested in the Madrid municipality of Las Rozas the leader of a gang who was wanted for murder by Panamanian authorities. He was considered by INTERPOL to be one of the most wanted fugitives in Latin America in Europe, for being the leader of a gang called “the terror killa” dedicated to the commission of selective murders, arms trafficking and drug trafficking in Panama.

The investigation began last July when agents learned that a Panamanian fugitive was listed by INTERPOL. The search warrant was issued when Panamanian authorities detected the existence of “the Killa terror” in the province of Colón, dedicated to committing various criminal acts in a coordinated and organized manner, especially selective homicides, drug trafficking, armed robberies and home robberies.

The investigations revealed that part of his family could be living in different parts of Spain, which led investigators to carry out surveillance and checks in several provinces of the country. Once two addresses were detected in Madrid and Barcelona, surveillance was intensified on a house in the municipality of El Escorial where a large group of relatives of the fugitive lived, who also frequently changed address.

When the fugitive was detected in one of the homes where his family had just moved, a surveillance device was established in the vicinity and, after following the vehicle in which he was travelling, he was arrested in a shopping centre in the Madrid town of Las Rozas.
