From the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UNGA 79)the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yvan Gil, He announced working meetings with his African counterparts from Zimbabwe, Eritrea and Madagascar to strengthen ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation for shared benefit.
The Venezuelan representative stressed that these official meetings are taking place in the context of the emerging multipolar world towards which Venezuela and the African nations are heading.
The Venezuelan foreign minister is at the United Nations to participate on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the UN Future Summit 2024 and has held various meetings with world personalities and leaders.
On this occasion he spoke with the Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe, Federico Shava, with whom he reviewed the bilateral agenda in preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Commission and shared experiences in the fight against the illegal sanctions that both countries face.
He later met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, Osman Saleh.
