Officials from Cicpc-Socopó (Barinas) dismantled a criminal gang that was attacking agricultural producers in Barinas, especially those working in the parishes of Ramón Ignacio Méndez, Corazón de Jesús and Manuel Palacio Fajardo in the capital of the Llanos.
Among those arrested are Jhan Hoyos (32), Cesar Silva (44), Alexis Gonzalez (45), Jesus Moreno (53), Ender Vargas (33), Jose Rivero (41), Yorxana Martinez (25), Alex Marquez (34) and Jeiber Araujo (35).
These people were engaged in the theft and slaughter of cattle on properties located in the plains state, Cicpc reported on its social networks.
The antisocial individuals’ way of acting was to commit thefts and then sell the meat.
In the incident, 190 kilos of meat, a machete, two nylons, three knives, two scales, eight cell phones, a Chevrolet, license plate A93CF1G; a Ford, license plate AB730KP; a Geely, license plate AB279JG; a Honda, year 2006; a Bera, license plate AD8J17J; a Haojue, license plate AA6N91F, and a Keeway were seized.
