BPS warns the population about fraudulent maneuvers through emails
The institution warned about attempted scams offering access to more information about Fonasa refunds.
The Social Security Bank (BPS) issued a statement in which it “urges the population to take extreme care and not to access links, scan QR codes or provide data and personal information requested through unofficial channels.”
“Following complaints received about fraudulent emails inviting people to access links or scan QR codes to obtain information about Fonasa Refunds, the population is urged to take extreme care and not to perform any of these actions,” the agency stated in the released text.
In this regard, he urged people to “disregard and delete” any such message received, in order to “prevent its dissemination.”
“Please note that the BPS does not request, through unofficial channels, information that is already registered in its system, nor does it require payment to carry out any procedure,” the statement concludes.
