Investment announcements in Mexico total $59.9 billion in the first nine months of 2024

The United States leads the list of such announcements, with a total of 26.31 billion dollars, followed by Germany, with 6.4994 billion and China, with 3.568 billion.

The entities that concentrate the investment announcements of the first nine months of the year are: Querétaro (7,166 million dollars), State of Mexico (6,407 million), Nuevo León (5,995 million) and Veracruz (4,937 million).

By sector, manufacturing is the most represented in the advertisements, with 33.733 billion dollars, followed by commerce, with 6.909 billion; construction, with 6.613 billion; transportation, with 5.133 billion and mass media, with 4.963 billion.

The most important announcements between January and September of this year correspond to Femsa ($9.965 billion), Amazon ($4.963 billion), DHL ($4 billion), Walmart ($3.995 billion) and Constellation Brands ($3 billion).

From January 2023 to September 2024, investment announcements totaled $170,644 million.

The Ministry of Economy says this reflects the confidence of investors in Mexico’s economy for the development of industries at local and global levels.
