The press conference, called a week ago by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, regarding the capture of 12 irregulars, in addition to the seizure of more than 400 high-caliber rifles and pistols, which were part of a plan to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro and other high-ranking state officials, made it clear that the conspiratorial acts against Venezuela no longer come only from the United States, as has usually occurred, but have now spread to other nations.
Cabello said that in addition to the capture of Americans Wilberth Joseph Castañeda Gómez, David Estrella and Aaron Barrett Logan (the latter being expert hackers), the operation also arrested José María Basoa Valdovinos and Andrés Martínez Adasme in Puerto Ayacucho, who turned out to be undercover agents of the National Intelligence Center of Spain, an organization that, according to the minister, has the direct support of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
In the case of Castañeda Gómez, it was found that he was an active military officer who had previously been in Venezuelan territory, specifically during the presidential election process on July 28, as a key factor in the plan of violence and destabilization in the country.
The gringo, of Mexican descent, has a long history in assault operations and is also a member of the elite Navy Seal corps, a specialist with training in air, sea and land operations, who has a military career that includes missions in Afghanistan in 2010 and Iraq in 2014.
As part of the Navy Seals, his experience covers critical areas such as sabotage, explosives handling, urban combat and parachuting.
United States plans.
The plan included the seizure of Miraflores Palace, with the aim of assassinating President Nicolás Maduro. It also included the occupation of other strategic facilities, such as the Maiquetía airport, and carrying out attacks on essential basic services to massively affect the population.
This operation also involved highly experienced French mercenaries acting in coordination with the Spanish National Intelligence Centre (CNI).
Castañeda had entered the country from Colombian territory on several occasions.
During this period, he orchestrated covert operations in the context of the presidential elections of July 28, when he contacted Niño Guerrero, a dangerous criminal from the defunct Tren de Aragua, according to information that intelligence agencies collected from his telephone.
Conversations were found between Castañeda and a Venezuelan criminal known as El Flaco, who resides in the United States and, according to President Nicolás Maduro, is protected by that country’s government.
These messages revealed how they monitored in real time the actions that took place on July 28, 29 and 30, as well as their intention to carry out a massacre, if necessary, to bring about a violent removal of the President from power.
Actions from Colombia.
Violent actions against Venezuela have also been planned from Colombian territory, since Basoa Valdovinos and Martínez Adasme, according to official records, left Spain on August 17, supposedly on “tourist” activities, and their last communication, recorded on September 2, occurred when they were traveling from the Colombian city of Inírida to Puerto Ayacucho, in Venezuela, where they were detained. In this regard, Diosdado Cabello described as “curious” the fact that these two people talk about “tourism” at a time when this activity is not common for Spaniards.
Yorman Barillas, a member of Primero Justicia and a fugitive from justice, was responsible for arranging accommodation in a hotel in Colombia for both the Spaniards and Castañeda, who arrived there before entering Venezuela.
Already in Venezuela, Basoa and Adasme established contact with the former mayor of the Sifontes municipality in the state of Bolívar, Carlos Chancellor, as well as with the opposition leader, Américo De Grazia, with the aim of assassinating the mayor of the Piar municipality (Upata), Yulibeth “Tata” García.
The State Department said that “any claim that the United States is involved in a plot to overthrow Maduro is categorically false,” while asserting that its efforts are directed toward “a democratic solution to the political crisis in Venezuela.”
However, no official spokesperson from that country was able to refute the news about the capture of an active US soldier.
The Government of the Kingdom of Spain adopted the same line through its Chancellery.
However, documented investigations confirm that country’s relationship with the United States National Security Agency (NSA).
A Czech and an equator in the plot
The operations revealed by Diosdado Cabello also resulted in the capture of a Czech citizen, identified as Jan Darmovrzal.
The man is linked to the European group Commando AZ, which also includes French mercenaries. Darmovrzal, 33, is an active reservist with the 43rd Parachute Regiment in Chrudim, a town in the Czech Republic.
A confiscated notebook details his closeness to Venezuelan politicians and his relationship with the events after July 28.
In addition, Ecuador was mentioned as a center of operations, which reflects a change in the neuralgic points of the actions of violence, particularly given the difficulties presented by operating from Colombia, following the arrival of the government of Gustavo Petro.
This plot also involves Venezuelan right-wingers, including María Corina Machado.
