The CICPC reported the arrest of the subject accused of killing Nairobis Rojas García, 35 years old, with a knife. A subject who helped him escape was also arrested.
In that case, the detainee was registered as Luis Vaamonde (42), captured by agents of the Homicide Investigation Division of the scientific police. The subject is Nairobis’s ex-partner.
The CICPC report clarifies that the crime occurred in the boarding house where Nairobis lived, located between the corners of San Luis and Santa Isabel, San José parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas, in the early hours of September 20.
Nairobis arrived in a taxi and entered the guesthouse where she argued with her ex-partner, who then pulled out a knife, wounded her several times and fled the scene.
The woman was helped by a neighbor who took her to the “Doctor José María Vargas” Hospital, where she died after being admitted.
The other person arrested for this incident is identified as César Pernía (24), who helped the murderer escape from the crime scene, according to the Cicpc report posted on its social networks.
The detainees were handed over to the 47th National Prosecutor’s Office for the Defense of Women, with exclusive responsibility for handling cases of femicide and those that violate women’s sexual freedom.
