Monsignor Jesus Gonzalez de Zarate assumed the role of Archbishop of Valencia

The IV Archbishop of Valencia was accompanied by the Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela, Monsignor Alberto Ortega, the Auxiliary Bishops of Caracas, Monsignor Lisandro Rivas and Monsignor Carlos Márquez, and other bishops of the country, the local clergy and the parishioners.

On Saturday, September 21, the Valencia Cathedral held the inauguration mass of Monsignor Jesús González de Zárate as the new archbishop of the Archdiocese of Valencia.

The IV Archbishop of Valencia was accompanied by the Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela, Monsignor Alberto Ortega, the Auxiliary Bishops of Caracas, Monsignor Lisandro Rivas and Monsignor Carlos Márquez, and other bishops of the country, the local clergy and the parishioners.

In his homily, Monsignor Zárate invited everyone to live love for their neighbor in a radical way. He urged us to build a church that announces the good news to those who suffer, and that makes the Resurrection present, overcoming lies and injustices.
