With the serenade to Santa Cruz and the coronation of the queen, as the main event to be held on Monday (20:30) in El Arenal Park, Activities for the anniversary month of Santa Cruzwhich is being carried out by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (SMCYT), is reaching its climax. The objective is for the celebration of September 24th for the 214th anniversary of the cry for freedom to resonate more than ever.
During the serenade, the queen of Santa Cruz 2024, Lia Barrientos Vogtschmidt, will be crowned. In the show Nine singers will perform: Guisela Santa Cruz, Alenir Echeverria, Sonia Barrientos, Fátima Trujillo, Chichita Vega, Elvita Quintela, Lu de la Tower, Carla Galzin and Abel Rivera. The ballets will also be presented: Abdei, Kerembas and Cupesí.
The artist Lu de la Tower will return to sing with its oriental rhythm on September 24, from 19:00 at the Municipal stand at Expocruz. Both events are expected to attract a large number of fans of oriental music.
There will also be activities in two libraries. The “Santa Cruz Lee” Bibliobike will be held at La Morita DM-8. In addition, there will be the Viva Santa Cruz Cultural Fair, which will take place on September 25 (10:00) at the Argentina DM-4 Station.
As for tours, the one on September 28 (4:00 p.m.) is still pending, which is called Places and Characters of the Independence of Santa Cruz and which will begin at the Altillo Beni City Museum, on Calle Beni #50.
The exhibition Verde, by the painter Adolfo Torrico, is also part of the activities for the anniversary month of Santa Cruz. The exhibition, which can be seen throughout the month, It is inspired by the land of Santa Cruz, in its natural essence, helped by the most emblematic birds of the region.
The Historical Tour also stands out in the celebrations of Santa Cruz. It will take place in the old town and during the walk Some battles and their heroes will be remembered of the libertarian struggle, which began on September 24, 1810. It will be on Saturday 21, from 4:30 p.m., and on Wednesday 25, from 9:00 a.m. It will begin at the Altillo Beni Museum.
Added to this are the publications of 30 biographies of personalities who left their mark on this land. In addition, reports on the history of Santa Cruz are being prepared. Finally, videos on the preparation of Santa Cruz delicacies are shown, such as cuñapé and rice bread.
