PRD's extinction gives one more deputy to the PRI

The transition to a parliamentary group – in this case the PRI – will allow the legislator to participate in committees and debates in the forum, which she would not be able to do without a Parliamentary Group.

The former PRD member is a lawyer and has been a civil servant for years in the mayor’s office; she is president of the United Women’s Network in the foundation United against poverty and marginalization Coordinator of the National Association of Human Rights.

In addition, he has a track record of having coordinated the Reconstruction Project in Chiapas and Oaxaca, related to the earthquakes of September 19, while being a member of the PRD.

Ebrard’s nephew arrives

The movements in the Chamber of Deputies continue, others are licenses, such as the arrival of Marcelo Ebrard’s nephew, Sebastián Ebrard Lestrade, and the indefinite leave of the deputy of Movimiento Ciudadano, Claudia Ruiz Massieu.

Ebrard Lestrade has a degree in Public Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and has expressed his desire to join a related committee, but there are still no decisions in the House.

Ebrard was sworn in on Wednesday, when he requested leave – and was granted it – from Vidal Llerenas, who will be Undersecretary of the Economy, which will be headed by the former foreign minister and now the next head of that department, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón.

During Thursday’s session, the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies received the request of eight deputies to change parties.

Three legislators from the Labor Party (PT) went to the Morena parliamentary group: Miriam de los Ángeles Vázquez Ruiz (Oaxaca-District 1), Dionicia Vázquez García (State of Mexico-District 2) and Betzabé Martínez Arango (Durango-District 2).

But five Morena members joined the PT Parliamentary Group: Diana Castillo Gabino (State of Mexico – District 3), Francisco Javier Guízar Macías (Jalisco – District 1), Luis Fernando Vilchis Contreras (State of Mexico – District 10), Adrián González Naveda (Veracruz – District 9) and Ramón Ángel Flores Robles (Sonora – District 4).
