Through a statement, the Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saabrejected the biased information of the so-called Fact-Finding Mission, presented to the United Nations (UN), which is designed and executed to fuel international attacks against the country.
“It denies the existence of unilateral coercive measures that have caused serious damage to the country and its inhabitants; it denies the coup and assassination attempts, as well as the operations with mercenaries carried out with foreign support and the continued foreign interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela,” the text states.
Likewise, the highest authority of the Public Ministry pointed out that this mechanism was created in 2019 to attack the Bolivarian nation by order of the United States Government and the defunct Lima Group, with the aim of boycotting the agreements and the work that Venezuela is carrying out with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights starting that same year.
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office recorded 486 attacks on public and private institutions and property, including 75 educational centers, 41 health centers, 50 facilities and means of transportation, 253 security corps facilities, 10 electoral centers, 7 headquarters of public administration institutions, 27 statues and monuments, 13 commercial establishments and 10 headquarters of political organizations,” the text states.
Finally, he stressed that Venezuela is a country that guarantees human rights with an exemplary Constitution on this matter and extensive legislation. “The Public Prosecutor’s Office will remain vigilant to safeguard peace, justice and Human Rights in favor of Venezuelan families.”
