The Minister of the Ministry of Agricultural Development, Roberto Linares, said that on September 18, in a meeting with the National Association of Millers, they reported that they did have 60 thousand quintals of rice to deliver to the Agricultural Marketing Institute.
“It is an urgent need to replace agricultural fairs,” he said.
“Analmo promised to deliver them (…), in case they do not have them, the IMA will have to pay the difference. The Government will not allow the most needy people to lack rice, national rice is a priority” said Linares.
Linares: «The solution to the rice problem is not in incentives. We have to modernize agricultural practices and production systems.»
