Five criminals identified as Billy Rodríguez (42), Diego Domínguez (23), Eduardo Flores (45), Jhon Quijada (43) and Gustavo Alezona (37), were captured by Cicpc-Cagua (Aragua) officials after their responsibilities were detected in the crime of theft and illicit trade of strategic material, belonging to the Cantv.
The scientific police reported the arrests on their social networks and specified that the subjects acted in the Constitución, Libertad and Los Tamarindos sectors of Santa Rita (Aragua).
By carrying out the technical-scientific examinations and film analysis, it was found that the detainees, who were being investigated for stealing strategic material belonging to the telecommunications company Cantv, at the time of the police procedure were trying to illegally sell part of the strategic material they had stolen.
Also recovered as evidence were fourteen segments of multi-pair cable, three bags of various copper segments weighing 60 kg and several items of clothing, all belonging to Cantv, as well as five cell phones of different brands, a shear and a Daewoo Cielo, license plate CH750T.
The detainees were handed over to the 6th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
