The parliamentary recess for the national elections does not mean a halt in legislative activity. “The commissions continue and I still have a lot to do for the department,” said Colorado deputy Nibia Reisch to EL ECO.
When a house caught fire in Nueva Palmira and it was discovered that there was no fire truck, Reisch contacted the National Fire Department and raised the issue.
At the same time, he is in the process of negotiations at the ASSE (State Health Services Administration) level “for the Ombúes de Lavalle ambulance that was taken away for repairs a few months ago” and since then the town has been without that service. These days, in addition to touring and conducting business in the department, Reisch and his peers – like the rest of the parties – are working on the creation of lists for the Senate and Deputies. The deadline for submitting the lists to the Electoral Board is September 30.
