Cristina Kirchner sent a significant message to the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and to young trade unionists in the country. At a meeting held at the Patria Institute, Cristina Kirchner urged young union leaders to think of “new measures of action” that do not pit workers against society.

Among those present were the CGT’s Youth Secretary, Sebastián Maturano, and other regional leaders such as Walter Bieber from Rosario and Álvaro Gerez from Jujuy. The former president stressed the need for unions to once again represent all workers and not just a part of them.
Cristina Kirchner took the opportunity to reflect on the current situation of the labor movement in Argentina. She recalled that in the 1980s, figures such as Saúl Ubaldini could effectively represent workers because the labor sector had not experienced the profound transformations seen in recent decades.
