Plan to use far-right parliaments to attack Venezuela denounced

Plan to use far-right parliaments to attack Venezuela denounced

The first vice president of the National Assembly, deputy Pedro Infante, denounced the implementation of a plan to use parliaments dominated by the international far right to attack Venezuela.

During the extraordinary session of the National Assembly called for this Thursday, Infante pointed out that the recent statements against Venezuela by the parliaments of Spain and Chile are part of these actions that seek to delegitimize the electoral victory of President Nicolás Maduro on July 28.

In this regard, he accused the European Union and its parliament of being part of the plot that was created, together with the Venezuelan far right, to forge electoral fraud in the aforementioned presidential election.

“They condemn the fact that the CNE did not invite the EU as international observers. We were right, they are conspirators and they had a clear plan to claim electoral fraud. They will never come to any election in Venezuela again,” Infante emphasized, while highlighting the EU’s connection with the terrorist plans against Venezuela revealed in recent days and in which mercenaries from the aforementioned bloc are involved.

He also said that the European Union cannot demand anything from Venezuela because they lack the moral authority to do so. “You are home to six monarchies, you cannot come here to give us lessons in democracy,” he stressed.

He also stressed that the recent resolution of the European Parliament recognising the former far-right candidate, Edmundo González, violates all provisions of international law.

He has to come

For his part, the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, criticized González Urrutia’s recent statements in which he assured that he would be sworn in on January 10. In this regard, he pointed out that, according to what is established in the Constitution, for that to happen he must be in Venezuelan territory.

“That gentleman said today that he is going to be sworn in on January 10. I wonder where he is going to be sworn in? Is he going to be sworn in at the rehabilitation clinic for the elderly where Mrs. Dinorah Figuera works? Is he going to travel to Doral in Miami so that the thief Juan Guaidó can swear him in? According to our constitution, he must stand there (on the speaker’s platform of the AN) and receive the oath. Under duress, come, we are waiting for you,” he stressed.
