In dialogue with Peru21Burgos indicated that they have summoned Hurtado but the former comedian known as ‘Chibolín’ has not responded to the call.
“We have summoned him, the problem is that we cannot find him, he is hiding somewhere, his whereabouts are unknown,” the legislator said with concern.
The parliamentarian announced that ‘Chibolín’, as he is popularly known, will be summoned again the first week of October.
Hurtado is being investigated for his links to illegal mining and his alleged irregular connections with public officials.
Ana Siucho, wife of soccer player Edison Flores, said that her brother Iván Siucho acted as a mediator for his cousin Javier Miu Lei to get the Prosecutor’s Office to return a shipment of gold that was seized from his company Minera Las Lomas Doradas in 2020.
According to the witness, Ivan Siucho contacted Hurtado, who in turn contacted prosecutor Elizabeth Peralta to achieve his goal. In exchange for the help, according to Ana Siucho, Miu Lei paid US$1 million and managed to recover the shipment in 2022.
THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE CAN’T FIND HIM EITHER
Peru21 published a report today which reveals that the last time the investigated Andrés Hurtado was seen publicly happened six days ago.
The popular ‘Chibolín’ posted a video on his social networks with which he clearly wanted to show the authorities where he was, and he kept mentioning the day and time he was recorded. However, since then, nothing more has been known about him.
