Leonel calls for a “thorough investigation” into Tekashi’s escape via Haiti

Leonel pide una «investigación exhaustiva» sobre el escape de Tekashi por Haití

Santo Domingo.– The former President of the Republic, Leonel Fernandezhas suggested to the authorities to initiate a thorough investigation into rapper’s alleged escape Daniel Hernandez, known as Tekashi 6IX9INE, through Haiti.

Mexican-American singer Tekashi 6IX9INE had left the Dominican Republic using the neighboring country, Haiti.

In an interview with journalist Luinny Corporán, the singer said: “I left through Haiti. I crossed the border through Dajabón. I left through Haiti because what they (the authorities) were doing was illegal; the judges of the Dominican Republic, the appellate judges, were trying to extort me, asking me for money, generals, lawyers from the country.”

During the conversation, which took place at the rapper’s home in Miami, Tekashi also revealed that Dominican authorities tried to extort him for the sum of 15 million pesos.
