Jorge Arreaza describes Edmundo González’s action as an act of mere cowardice

Jorge Arreaza cataloga acción de Edmundo González como un acto de mera cobardía

The vice president of Communal Councils and Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Arreaza, considered Edmundo González’s action as “sheer cowardice,” noting that he signed a letter under duress.

The revolutionary leader considered that “another opposition is urgently needed, one that is nationalist, respectful of the laws and national sovereignty, and of course, brave.”

Through the social network Telegram, Arreaza stated that saying that it was under duress is absurd, because “he was well cared for in an embassy, where he was happy and conspiring against the nation, just as Leopoldo López did” at the time.

Arreaza questioned: “He did sign his respective letter recognizing Venezuelan institutions and the election results and requesting asylum to flee” as is now trying to say that it was under duress. “The most pertinent adjective to explain his conduct is mere cowardice,” he said.
