News Colombia.

Renowned investigative journalist La Nena Arrázola, who is currently part of the program Los Informantes on Caracol Televisión, shared previously unpublished details about her battle against cancer in a recent interview for the podcast Frecuencia Femenina.

Her story, marked by faith, perseverance and the love of her family, is a testament to strength.

The first diagnosis she received was devastating: breast cancer. Despite the shock, the journalist never thought that the disease would lead to her death.

“It never occurred to me, either during the first or second diagnosis, that I was going to die from this,” she confessed, highlighting her positive attitude in the face of adversity.

The treatment was not easy. After several chemotherapy sessions, Arrázola experienced severe symptoms of exhaustion.

After a business trip, medical tests revealed a metastasis in her liver that had spread to her gallbladder and other organs. The situation was critical and, unbeknownst to her, doctors informed her family that “there was nothing they could do.”

Despite the discouraging diagnosis, Arrázola found refuge in her faith and chose not to acknowledge the severity of her condition, which allowed her to remain optimistic.

“Even at the worst moment, I said, ‘It’s normal,'” she said. Her family played a key role in her recovery, as did the treatment she received abroad.

Today, after overcoming this difficult test, La Nena Arrázola remains committed to journalism and her passion for sport, showing that hope and support can make a difference in the darkest moments.
