“President Joseph R. Biden Jr. today announced the appointment of a Presidential Delegation to attend the inauguration of Her Excellency Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo on October 1, 2024, in Mexico City,” the statement shared by the White House said.
The Constitution establishes that on October 1, Claudia Sheinbaum will be sworn in as the first female president of Mexico.
The ceremony will take place during a session of the General Congress and, by official provision, that day will be a mandatory day of rest for civil servants and officials.
