ADOCEM and BARNA sign agreement to promote academic and business development in the cement sector

ADOCEM y BARNA

Santo Domingo-. The Dominican Association of Portland Cement Producers (ADOCEM) and the BARNA High Management School have signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement, with the aim of strengthening the link between the cement production sector and academic training.

The agreement, signed by the president of ADOCEM, Giuseppe Maniscalco, and the rector of BARNA, Paulo Alves, establishes a series of joint initiatives that include the holding of workshops, the participation of professors of BARNA at ADOCEM events and other academic activities by companies in the cement sector.

The agreement also provides for joint research and the dissemination of scholarship programs to promote academic excellence among ADOCEM members.

Both institutions underline the importance of this alliance to promote the sustainable development of the cement industry and contribute to the country’s economic growth. According to Maniscalco, “this agreement reinforces our commitment to innovation and the development of the construction sector, key to the advancement of the Dominican Republic, resulting in better companies, resources, prepared people, better educated and trained people in the sector.”

For his part, Paulo Alves stressed that “BARNA will continue to contribute to the country’s progress through the training of leaders with a comprehensive and humanistic vision, capable of transforming organizations.”

This agreement opens the door to future collaborative projects with specific funding. It also guarantees that both ADOCEM and BARNA will maintain their operational independence and the possibility of formalizing similar agreements with other institutions.
