This Monday the channel will tell details of the life of Yhonier and Mauricio Leal. The second died at the hands of his own brother.

The RCN Channel premieres this Monday, February 21, a journalistic report that reveals details about the hitherto unknown relationship of brothers that Yhonier and Mauricio Leal always had, protagonists of a tragic outcome that the whole country already knows. The first confessed to having murdered his relative and also his mother in the apartment of the renowned stylist located in La Calera on the outskirts of Bogotá.

Starting at 7:00 p.m., Colombian time, the channel will broadcast this first installment of five chapters entitled “From Yhonier to Cain”, whose namebre which refers to the well-known biblical story of Abel’s fraticide, executed by his brother Cain. As the story goes, both brothers presented their sacrifices to God at their respective altars; seeing them, God preferred Abel’s offering (the first fruits and the fat of his sheep) to Cain’s (gifts of the fruits of the field), Cain went mad with jealousy and killed his brother.

The first chapter will narrate how the brothers’ childhood was in the municipality of Cartago, Valle del Cauca, where they were from.
At the same time, he will tell how one always wanted to follow the other in his activities that later would give success to one of the two and not so much to the other.
Also, it will relate how that rivalry between the two originated since they were children.

Marleny, aunt of the Leal brothers, knew that Mauricio saw Yhonier as lazy. In addition, a strong rivalry would have originated between the brothers due to these disputes: «He suddenly felt lower than Mauricio, because Mauricio went up and he did not».
“A truth that until now was unknown,” says the RCN News report.
According to what relatives of the brothers have stated, there could be another person who may have encouraged Yhonier to commit this double crime that has caused consternation in the country.

For this double crime, Yhonier Leal is deprived of liberty in the prosecutor’s bunker. The estililsta made a preliminary agreement with the accusing entity and could pay between 13 and 14 years for this case.
The RCN channel expects this production to achieve good ratings. It should be noted that another program ‘Masterchef Celebrity’will also premiere today on RCN.
