This Sunday, the Emmy Awards 2024 return with the glamour, magic and prestige that characterizes them in a night that will bring together great figures. Under the direction of Eugene and Dan Levythe most important awards show in American television, will celebrate its 76th edition at the LA Live Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
The awards ceremony will highlight the work of the best actors and will highlight the production of series, programs and choreographies in the medium.
The awards ceremony organized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) has as main candidates: Shogunthe series The bear (The Bear) and Baby reindeer.
The Japanese drama, created by FX and currently available on Disney+stands out as the production with the most nominations of this installment with a total of 25. For its part, The bear (The Bear) set a new record in the comedy category with 23 nominations in a single edition. At the same time, the Netflix production achieved a total of 11 Emmy nominations, consolidating itself as a resounding success.
This will be the first ceremony, in the history of the awards, that A father and son duo will take the lead. Those in charge of carrying out the evening will be Eugene and Dan Levythe Canadian comedians known for their work together on the series Schitt’s Creeka successful project that earned them multiple awards Emmy in 2020. On that occasion, they made history by becoming the first father and son to win major awards in the same year.
The Los Angeles-based event will take place just six months after the 2023 ceremony, which was postponed due to the strike by screenwriters and actors. The broadcast will be available in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay (from 8pm), Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica (from 5pm), Colombia, Ecuador and Peru (from 6pm), Venezuela and Bolivia (from 7pm) and Spain (from 12pm the following day).
