Migration announces arrest for traveling with false documents

The General Management of Migration (DGM) reported this Sunday that, so far this year, it has arrested some 166 people who have attempted to travel with fake passports and irregular visas through the different airports in the Dominican Republic.

Last July alone, 91 people of that nationality were arrested for trying to travel to Panama and Ecuador through Las Américas International Airport, according to the administration.

These foreigners were brought before the courts for violating the Law 285-04 about migration and its implementing regulations decree 613-11Some were granted conditional release, the agency said.
