Oriente wants to surprise a Bolívar plagued by injuries

Oriente Petrolero will face a tough test this Sunday in the restart of the Clausura tournament of the Professional Division, when on matchday 14 they visit Bolívar at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz, starting at 5:30 p.m., under the refereeing of Gery Vargas from Oruro, who will be assisted from the sidelines by Edward Saavedra and Jesús Antelo.

The refinery team, coached by Joaquín Monasterio, occupies the seventh position in the Clausura and has the mission of rescuing at least a draw in a difficult place like Siles. If we talk about altitude, Oriente already knows what it is to win, since this year it achieved two victories: against Gualberto Villarroel San José in Oruro in the Apertura, and not long ago against Always Ready in El Alto.

These statistics are encouraging for the Albiverde, who, if they win, could climb to fourth place. However, Oriente will have to miss three experienced players for this match: defender César García, midfielder Junior Sánchez and forward Marcos Riquelme, all of whom are out due to injury.

For the consolation of the Albiverdes, their rival is also going through a similar situation. Bolívar, which has become a hospital in recent weeks, will be without Carlos Lampe, Patricio Rodríguez, Henry Vaca and Bruno Savio, all considered undisputed starters in Flavio Robatto’s eleven. In addition, they will be without Jairo Quintero, the defender who suffered a rupture of the Achilles tendon a few months ago and has not yet completed his recovery.

It should also be added that Carmelo Algarañaz and Lucas Chávez will not be there either because a few weeks ago they signed for teams abroad.

Among the new additions is the return of Rubén Cordano, who will be a starter at the academy again after 9 months. He will replace Carlos Lampe, who was injured last Thursday against Chile in Santiago while defending the national team jersey.[1].

Possible lineups:

Bolivar: Cordano; Rocha, Orihuela, Jesus, Peace; Saucedo, Justinian, R. Vaca; Velasquez, Gomes and Oviedo

East: Torres; Flores, Ramirez, Alvarez, Diez; Barreto, Rojas, Anez, Arab; Dorrego and G. Alvarez
