The head of the Strategic Operations Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), Domingo Hernández Lárez, accused the United States government of plundering countries “in the name of freedom.” This was in reaction to the recent sanctions that the country imposed against him and other officials under the argument of “obstructing” the presidential process.
Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), rejected the new round of sanctions that the United States government (US) imposed against him and 15 other officials of the Venezuelan State, including magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the National Electoral Council (CNE) and military and intelligence bodies.
“We don’t care about your cheap sanctions. The true sons of Bolívar will continue fighting for freedom, for our independence and the self-determination of our people, on this sacred land where we were born!” wrote Hernández Lárez on September 14 in X.
In his opinion, the US measures show that “Bolívar’s prophecy has only been fulfilled.” In this sense, he cited the thought that the governments of that country “seem destined by providence to plague America with misery, in the name of freedom.”
The military officer stressed that once again this country shows that it believes itself to be “the masters of the world, distorting the realities of countries with its false gods and false perceptions, dealing out blows and clubs around the world, recruiting flattering and traitorous sepoys to use against their countries of origin to destroy them.”

In this same sense, he deplored the application of sanctions and the plundering of countries that, in his opinion, the North American nation is committing.
«Applying their new multidimensional ‘mainstream cyber-fascist’ method with terror commandos and sabotage against peaceful peoples, sowing hatred and creating separatist groups.»

Sanctions and sanctioned persons
On Thursday, September 12, USA sanctioned 16 government officials, military officials, intelligence officials, Supreme Court officials, and National Electoral Council officials. Venezuela (CNE).
«The Treasury Department is targeting key officials involved in the fraudulent and illegitimate claims of victory Ripe and its brutal crackdown on free speech after the election, while the overwhelming majority of Venezuelans are calling for change,” Undersecretary Wally Adeyemo said in a statement.
Among the sanctioned military officials are the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the National Armed Forces (Ceofan), Domingo Antonio Hernández Lárez, the commander of the National Guard (GN), Elio Ramón Estrada Paredes, and the commander of the Strategic Region of Integral Defense (REDI) Capital, Johan Alexander Hernández Lárez.

The reactions
The National Armed Forces (FAN) described as spurious the new round of sanctions that the United States government (US) imposed against 16 officials of the Venezuelan administration, including those from the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and military and intelligence agencies.
“They think that with these measures they will make us kneel. The US never tires of testing Venezuela. A new chapter of aggression against Venezuela has opened, this time in relation to the elections,” said the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, this Friday, September 13.
The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) rejected the sanctions that the United States government (US) imposed against 16 government officials, including five magistrates of the highest court and directors of the National Electoral Council, allegedly for “obstructing” the presidential voting process and alleged violation of civil rights.
The Judiciary took a position on September 13. The president of the TSJ, Caryslia Rodríguez, read a statement in which the entity stressed that “this practice is in conflict with the accepted principles of international law such as self-determination and democracy, which in the system is exercised by the people.”
She recalled that the sanctioned judges, in addition to her, are Fanny Márquez, Inocencio Figueroa, Malaquías Gil, Juan Carlos Hidalgo and Judge Eduard Briceño Cisneros.
