“I want to make a message and a commitment to you: the Fourth Transformation of public life in Mexico will continue, there are no regressions, there is no going back to the past, the regime of corruption and privileges will not return to our country. You know, when I say continuity, it means that we are going to preserve the principles of the Fourth Transformation and, furthermore, because all of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s programs will continue and we are going to do three more programs,” he mentioned.
This Saturday, the Congress of the state of Chiapas held an extraordinary session to approve the ruling on Judicial Reform, in a context marked by urgency and lack of transparency. The meeting, which was originally scheduled for 12 noon, was brought forward to 8 a.m. and was held in a different location than usual. This decision was made due to the presence of workers from the Judicial Branch who were holding a sit-in near Congress, which forced legislators to change location on two occasions.
Just this Friday, senators and deputies of the ruling bloc endorsed the constitutionality of the Reform to the Judicial Branch, which was sent to the Executive Branch for publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
This September 14 marks two centuries since the people of Chiapas made the historic decision to join the Mexican Republic and become the only entity in the country that is part of the Federation by the manifest will of its people.
