On Monday, September 9, the launch of list 95609 took place in Colonia del Sacramento, through a press conference, which was built from a set of alliances aimed at developing the programmatic proposal to carry forward the foundations of the Frente Amplio.
During the speech, Darío Juri, representing Convergencia Popular, expressed “his satisfaction with the agreement that leads to the widening of the 609.”
Claudia Oviedo, a member of La Patriada, then stated that “the most important objective is to deepen the pending changes for the FA and continue with the transformations necessary for a more just society.”
For his part, Gonzalo Perrou, a member of the Seregnista Convocation, thanked “the trust and highlighted the honesty of the leadership of his fellow candidate Nicolás Viera.”
Later, José Manuel Arenas, representing Somos Socialistas Colonia, expressed his “satisfaction with the process carried out in the department” and concluded that “the alliance built will be a fundamental ingredient for the triumph of the Frente Amplio in the upcoming elections in October.”
Cecilia Badin, representing the Popular Participation Movement – Espacio 609, also stressed that it is “a collective of various sectors with different responsibilities and commitments, which implies hard work ahead to carry out this electoral proposal.”
On the other hand, the candidate for Deputy Nicolás Viera expressed that “when we get together good things happen”, “we want to go and find the good white, Colorado and councilor neighbors who are concerned about the lack of transparency of the government. We want to build a department with everyone, for a lot of issues that we still have to develop.”
Senator Liliam Kechichian pointed out the importance of “making an effort to break down barriers and build a broader vision, just as Seregni dreamed at the time, and which is now being reflected in the departments.”
The launch of list 95609 represents an important milestone in the political process of the Frente Amplio, where various forces unite in pursuit of a common project that seeks well-being and social justice for society.
