Lluvias reducirán a partir de hoy, siguen 25 provincias en alerta

Santo Domingo.-Showers Thunderstorms will affect nine provinces of the country this Sunday due to the impact of a tropical wave on the country, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).

However, he stressed that temperatures will remain hot, so “we recommend drinking enough fluids, preferably water, wearing light, light-colored clothing, looking for ventilated and cool places, and avoiding exposure to the sun.”

The provinces where rain is forecast are Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristobal and San Pedro de Macoris, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, La Vega, Santiago Rodriguez, Dajabon and Valverde.

While Tropical Storm Gordon remains located west/northwest of the Cape Verde Islands, Africa, it has maximum winds of 75 km/h and is moving west/northwest at 15 km/h, but according to Indomet, the evolution and movement of this cyclone does not currently pose a danger to the country.

On Monday, an air mass with reduced humidity content and stability provided by a high pressure system is expected to arrive, which will maintain good weather conditions over the country during the morning hours, but in the afternoon a tropical wave will produce showers.

It is reported that a low pressure area off the coast of the United States could develop into a subtropical or tropical depression this weekend, with a probability of 30% in 48 hours and 50% in 7 days.
