A police patrolman was dismissed after he kicked the stall of a red wine vendor in August 2021.
The victim of this aggression reported the case to the competent authorities, which generated rejection on social networks.
The authorities found sufficient elements to hold the uniformed officer responsible for this violent act. As a result of his actions, he was dismissed from the Police and disqualified for 12 years from holding public office.

In addition to the dismissal of the patrolman, his surveillance partner was sanctioned.
“Abuse of authority by arbitrary and unfair act to the uniformed officer involved, in the same way, that the patrol companion was sanctioned with a fine of 10 days of the basic monthly salary for not reporting the facts as appropriate,” said inspector Ernesto Rodríguez Cortés.
It should be remembered that this event was recorded in the Patio Bonito neighborhood of Bogotá and caused great outrage in the community. After learning of the case, the competent authorities began an investigation process and on February 18, after seven months of collecting evidence, this verdict was given.
