The Minister of Rural Development and Lands, Yamil Floresargued that the bill seeks to facilitate access to bank loans for small producers, as long as they have large-scale production.
“The regulations are established in an incentive for small producers who are developing productive activity on a larger scaleso that they can voluntarily request the conversion of their small property into a medium-sized or business property, according to the current characteristics of the property, which will allow them to be eligible for credit from financial institutions,” Flores said.
He stressed that the Conversion to the new classification is voluntary and may only be carried out at the request of the owner.
The authority indicated that the property must have characteristics of medium or business production, and that the change It does not involve small titled properties that do not request it, “which guarantees the protection of all small properties as established by the Political Constitution of the State (CPE).”
According to Flores, the approval was carried out by nominal vote, out of a total of 101 votes, 61 were for Yes and 40 were for No.
