SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- Hubert Rodolfo Fonseca Rivero, a driver who had been reported missing in Havana in recent days, is safe and sound with his family, as confirmed by his wife to CubaNet.
Since Sunday afternoon, the family had lost communication with him, which led his relatives to ask for help on social networks to locate him.
According to his wife, Leidys Rodríguez, Fonseca’s car broke down and his cell phone ran out of charge, so he was unable to communicate with his family.
According to reports on social media, the day he disappeared, he took a trip with a friend to Tarará, in the municipality of Habana del Este.
Upon leaving the client at the location, they rented it around 4:30 pm, and since then nothing has been heard from him.
On Monday they filed a complaint with Police Unit 4 and provided a contact telephone number to find her.
Missing in Cuba
Reports of missing persons have become frequent since residents on the Island began to have more access to social networks.
The Cuban State does not implement any mechanism to make visible the cases of missing persons, such as the Amber alert used in USAeven if they are minors or elderly.
Recently, several children and adolescents have also been reported missing, and fortunately, they have been able to return to their families.
Such was the case of a 10 year old boy who was missing in Havana and is already with her mother, as confirmed by the woman herself, identified as Yobaisi Compota in Facebook.
According to the report, the boy, who is undergoing psychiatric treatment, is not receiving any medication, which could have contributed to his disappearance.
The mother had explained that the child had escaped from the special school located in El Trébol, municipality Havana east.
