There are no unilateral coercive measures that can stop the libertarian and independence-oriented path taken by the Venezuelan people, stated a statement issued by the National Assembly regarding the new “sanctions” imposed by the United States Government against Venezuelan officials.
In a statement, the Venezuelan legislature strongly condemned the “continuous and permanent aggression by the supremacist government of the United States of America,” which is intended to “intimidate and frighten the Venezuelan people.”
However, the statement warns that they will not accept interference by foreign powers in internal affairs.

The National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns and rejects, in the strongest terms, the continued and permanent aggression by the supremacist Government of the United States of America, this time by imposing unilateral coercive measures against worthy and courageous Venezuelan public servants, such as the First Vice President of the National Assembly, Deputy Pedro Infante.
This new attack by the masters of the Venezuelan fascist ultra-right corresponds to the desperation they feel when seeing that their lackeys in Venezuela do not demonstrate satisfactory results for their imperial pretensions, so the Government of the United States of America continues to assume the already known unilateral, illegal, illegitimate and extraterritorial coercive measures, which flagrantly violate the principles of international law, as well as the norms and principles that govern peaceful relations between States with the nefarious intention of intimidating and frightening the Venezuelan people.
From the legitimate and sovereign National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela we say to the decadent empire of the United States of America and its European lackeys that there are no unilateral coercive measures that can stop the libertarian and independence path that the Venezuelan people have taken. Therefore, we express our unrestricted support and solidarity with the Venezuelans who this time were attacked by the irrational position of the supremacist empire of the north.
The National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela demands full respect for the country’s institutions and we reiterate to the world that more than 200 years ago we stopped being a colony thanks to the will and struggle of our people and for this reason we do not accept, nor will we accept, the interference of foreign powers in our internal affairs, nor any neocolonial subordination.
