Heavy rains will continue in several Dominican provinces

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported on Thursday afternoon that it continues to monitor a tropical disturbance located northeast of the Lesser Antilles.

This disturbance, which has a low potential, is expected to cross the northern coast of the Dominican Republic during the weekend.

A tropical depression is also being monitored west of the Cape Verde Islands and is expected to pass along the northern coast of the country.

Likewise, the Meteorological Service forecast that the rains will continue in the next 24 hours over the provinces of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Barahona, Pedernales, Bahoruco, Azua, La Vega, and María Trinidad Sánchez.

In addition, Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macoris, Monte Plata, Juan Sanchez Ramirez, Monsignor Nouel, Santiago de los Caballeros, Elias Pine, Dajabon and Santiago Rodriguez.
