The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, denounced the interference of the Congress of the Kingdom of Spain, where on Wednesday an attempt was made to ignore the result of the presidential elections of July 28, in which President Nicolás Maduro was re-elected.
“Today they met in the King’s Congress to decide the counting of votes for the elections in Venezuela (…) The mere fact that they were there discussing it is already interference and Venezuela’s affairs do not have to be discussed in any Congress in the world, the country’s affairs are discussed by Venezuelans,” Cabello said during broadcast No. 494 of the program Con El Mazo Dando.
The Bolivarian leader also argued that Spain has more problems than Venezuela, “first they have a king, that is serious for a country to have a king.”
Cabello asked the opposition leaders to stop deceiving their militants and to recognize that the flight of Edmundo González Urrutia to Spain was planned by the former candidate of the opposition extremists to free himself from María Corina Machado and Venezuelan fascism.
“They will continue to deceive their militants, saying that González will fight from abroad. It’s not that he is a baby, but he says: I am 75 years old, so what am I going to do with that swollen leg? I’d better go there quietly,” he said.
